What differentiates Xperience by Kentico from other similar products?
I feel Xperience by Kentico, whilst they have the foundation of a potentially great CMS in the future, at the moment they are still playing catch up with their competitors. As such, they don't really have anything that makes them stand out and above any competitors in the marketplace.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The technology stack of Xperience by Kentico sets the CMS up for a very bright future. They are just not there yet. 91制片厂ing the entire Admin UI in React was a great decision and it allows developers to really upgrade the field editors that come out of the box and customize the admin interface.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Xperience by Kentico out of the box feature set is very basic and minimal and not polished at all when compared to other CMS platforms. There is no out of the box website navigation. Kentico give you the basic building blocks, if you want anything good then you have to build it yourself. If you have a large website you will find yourself spending a lot of time building out core capabilities for your website that already exist in other CMS platforms out of the box. Like a lot of CMS vendors, I believe they do not put the content editor experience at the core of what they do. There is a lot of documentation but not enough examples.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Keep an eye on Xperience by Kentico, they are improving the CMS very rapidly, but if you want a mature, polished CMS right now, then look elsewhere.
