What differentiates OrbusInfinity from other similar products?
The only difference is that OrbusInfinity is fully integrated with the Microsoft ecosystem, particularly Visio, SharePoint, and Teams. There is no need to make your team use a brand diagramming tool. They have the ability to build the more intricate architecture models using the familiar Visio interface with the added capability of central repository and data governance. It lies in between basic drawing and real enterprise architecture modeling. Other tools are usually standalone platforms with a high learning curve for your designers.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The possibility to build multiple points of view with the help of one centralized data model is marvelous. I will be able to create a strategic management application landscape, a detailed operations team infrastructure diagram, and a compliance data flow diagram out of the same source of truth. This is very consistent and saves an unbelievable amount of time. There is no longer the need to worry about various outdated versions of diagrams circulating around. People are all reading the same, reliable information, and this is very important in decision-making.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Data entry and model management user interfaces can be outdated and difficult at some moments. It does not have the same modern and streamlined nature as other newer SaaS systems.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
A key responsibility of mine involves ensuring the seamless integration of new applications into our intricate IT infrastructure. In the case of OrbusInfinity, I would immediately see the entire dependency of the system, including the servers on which it runs and its other APIs. I was able to find a possible bottleneck that would go undetected until production. It is as though we had an interactive GPS in terms of our technology in the company. You are able to zoom and see the connections and ensure that you are not creating a road to nowhere.
