What differentiates Lucidchart from other similar products?

The real time collaboration capabilities in the form of document co-authoring, collaborative cursors , commenting etc are what makes Lucidchart very different from other diagramming software. The aforementioned contributes to effective team alignment when working on group based diagramming tasks.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Because Lucidchart uses a drag and drop user interface design, it is a lot easier to learn and easier to use without heavy technical training. The fact that it is mainly browser based too, contributes to its ease of use as I can access Lucidchart on any laptop or desktop device with a browser, without needing to first install software.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Lucidchart's offline capabilities are almost non-existent. Therefore, in locations with poor internet reception, Lucidchart is difficult to use. The absence of a desktop application further contributes to this weakness.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

For teams without experience using the software , they could start by trialing it and see if it works for them.

What differentiates Lucidchart from other similar products?

Lucidcharts primary differentiating aspect for me are its co-authoring and multi user editing functionalities. This two capabilities have made Lucidchart the ideal diagramming software for teams , as it allows multiple members of the same team to work on diagrams simultaneously without differences in physical or geographical location, being a barrier.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I cherish the template library of this software so much. No matter what diagrams or illustration I am building, whether it be for Lambda function representation, database designs , CI/CD pipeline mapping etc Lucidchart always has a template that I can build on, to be able to complete my diagrams faster.

What do you dislike most about this product?

My biggest issue with Lucidchart has been around the lags I experience when I work with enterprise level diagrams, which are always very large in nature . Although, I concede that this is common nature with web browser based software tools, I am of the opinion that Lucidchart needs to better optimize its product.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

As far as software diagramming is concerned, I love Lucidchart and I recommend it .

What differentiates Lucidchart from other similar products?

Lucidchart is cloud based and this means I can use it from any operating system , with a web browser installed. For me , this has meant faster and easier access to Lucidchart at all times and I think this is one of the major differences between Lucidchart and close substitute diagramming tools .

Lucidchart offers features like document co-authoring, in-document chatting and commenting functionality. The aforementioned features, including others like collaborative cursors makes collaboration between members of my development team, easier and smooth. I am of the opinion that the above even makes us more productive as a team , since multiple people working together on specific diagraming tasks , automatically means faster feedback and completion time.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Asides being able to view my diagramming illustrations on the Lucidchart mobile app, I struggle to do anything else on there.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

For group based collaboration, while diagramming, Lucidchart is the number one software I recommend .
