What differentiates LevelBlue USM Anywhere from other similar products?

Great integrations with AWS - used extensively during original rollout of Alienvault USM Anywhere, with fast deployment to the Cloud

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The ease of use in AWS and the intuitive interface - collecting logs is easy and there is strong detection and threat intel with OTX

What do you dislike most about this product?

The pricing model pushed us away from Alienvault in the end - I would love to see the new ownership address this

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

A great product only let down by pricing for smaller companies

What differentiates LevelBlue USM Anywhere from other similar products?

I believe USM Anywhere sits in a unique area. In a time where most companies are leaning towards Microsoft Sentinel due to their investment in the Microsoft stack, USM Anywhere excels in providing an easy to use SIEM tool. Cutting out alot of the difficulty implementing and managing that you would experience in a competitor such as Splunk or Sentinel. I would recommend this tool to smaller companies within the 0-1000 employee range as a first step in the SIEM Sec Ops journey.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Easy of use and ease to manage. This tool is built specifically for ease of use, lending it's strength to smaller less mature organisations.

What do you dislike most about this product?

As a trade off to ease of use. Some features are lacking compared to other tools and where they do exist they take a while to implement. For example playbooks and automation was a large concept during my usage, with all other competitors investing heavily into this area. USM however kept this on the roadmap with continuous push back.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Think about the maturity of your organisation. Are you building from scratch and looking for an easy win to largely bolster your security monitoring with a tactical solution? I would recommend this tool is included in this discovery exercise.
