What is VeloCloud SASE?

VeloCloud SASE (formerly VMware SASE) uses a cloud-first approach with integrated AI and ML to deliver better user experience, tighter security, and operational simplicity. Using the centralized VeloCloud SD-WAN Orchestrator the solution reduces the operational burden of managing branch and remote access connectivity. Customers have the flexibility to deploy security in the cloud or at the edge (branch) to protect all traffic patterns on all ports and protocols. The components of SASE include: VeloCloud SD-WAN, VeloCloud SD Access, and Symantec SSE.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

great product and easy to manage when compared to vendors like cisco. Pricing can be competitive based on the order size. But in long run its worth every penny. Makes the life of IT/Network admins easy.

What differentiates VeloCloud SASE from other similar products?

The advantage that Vmware SASE gives is that it provides unified secure access to all your application from a single management platform. Since SASE is cloud based, its very easily scalable as well.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

My favorite aspect for this tool is its automated solution which reduces a lot of time for setup. Thus you can be productive from day one or two itself. Also the security that it provides to your network and application is unmatched.

What do you dislike most about this product?

There is nothing much to dislike about this product however I feel that the licensing fees can be improved a bit.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I would recommend to get VMWare SASE for any organization which deals with SaaS products and wants to keep them secure leveraging cloud native applications.
