What differentiates TestRail from other similar products?

TestRail is a program that's very neat and great for creating test cases and the tools help throughout the application development lifecycle. Running tests to ensure the app will meet our customer needs, deploying the product on our servers, and they have monitoring tools that work great on TestRail and that I use to make sure our application runs smoothly. I like that it has a variety of testing that can be used depending on what phase of the application lifecycle I'm in, such as automated, scripted, or exploratory. These are all saved, and I can scroll through the history of every test and get reports on them or see what team.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I recommend TestRail to large teams that manage their automated tests and analyze their application lifecycle, all in the same program. It's great for integrating similar phases of work in the same interface, making it easier to keep track of your progress and how your tests go. This tool has literally saved hours of manual efforts in maintaining the tests in Excel sheets which eventually get lost or go out of track. I highly recommend this tool to every Testing organization.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Although their tools are good and helpful, work perfectly, and cater to my needs, their UI is not intuitive and lacks a lot of easiness and guides to help solve questions. Its interface looks like it doesn't get constant updates which makes it hard to navigate screens between one another, making it seem tedious and confusing. In addition to that, the support team has taken a long time (sometimes need to wait for more than a week )to reply to the issues we've had in the past.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

With TestRail, we can run tests on every application, and it has been a critical factor in our software release. In case a problem arises, we can also track back to these tests to figure out what went wrong and what we can do to fix it. We've benefitted from the extensive and detailed reports as it allows us to track our progress and our work, and our teamwork. These reports are delivered in the form of dashboards which can also be shared through a link in case someone that's not in our team needs to revise it, and you can select which metrics you want to study and analyze in each report. Overall, TestRail has worked for us.

Fantastic application used in today's world of Agile methodology. It is scalable and can be customized as per need be in in terms of test design, test execution, test reporting or bug tracking. The product is fairly stable and helps in saving substantial resource cost by cutting down the manual efforts of execution. The UI is intuitive and allows us to organized the testing effectively at ease. Even if the team is distributed, the work can progress given the testing is synced.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

JIRA Plugin for integration of test rail with JIRA is a huge benefit as JIRA is being used in the current organization. The plug helps in management of progress and reflect right information on the board whilst on the stand up call.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Feature of bulk passing of the test cases should be introduced.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Stable web-based product. Slick UI. Comprehensive customization of reports Easy to design, execute, track the test cased and helps to cut down overall manual software testing effort. I would definitely recommend this product to all the small, medium and large enterprise.
