if you need a full enterprise DLP solution covering network, storage and endpoint channels this is product you need. But be ready to have your own team to manage all product aspects, give them time to master solution and use all (sometimes hidden) power of it.....and at the end as for all technical solutions be sure that product does what you really need (which may not be same things as other company) so you will not be disapointed at the end.

What differentiates Symantec Enterprise Cloud from other similar products?
for me its regarding the integration with the other Symantec麓s solutions, because if you are running some cloud workloads, it will benefit you for keep an eye on that infrastructure, but if you are transitioning from on-prem to cloud, also it helps you with that, because it helps you with the vision of CASB and O365 integrations. When I used Symantec DLP, I saw business value with the OCR detection, because it works for analyze the signature of some VIP business rep. and that was a huge major benefit for the company I worked with... Also the benefit to use the same agent for the endpoint (antivirus) with the DLP Endpoint is a huge plus
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The power of the solution, that it can gives you automated alerts if someone hits any DLP rule, and also it gives you the context of the file content involved. The chance to have a only one administrator console is great for reduce the hours of manage it. And for my company, which its based in LatinAmerica, the possibility to begin from day 1, with the policy pre-installed for Colombian Citizens Data, its also great.
What do you dislike most about this product?
The vision from the company, let me explain it: For me, Symantec is a trust company, but, when it happened the BROADCOM acquisition, for many customers that represent in a big black hole, that can cause many products to be EOL, and it happened indeed for some products, but for others don't. But for Symantec Customers for years, that was a big pain, because the support changed, now is all central in India or somewhere, and we as customer feel the change.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
IF you are a current Symantec Customer its the best choice, you will get seamless integration with your endpoint, and can adapt the protection of the DLP strategy, regardless if your people is at the HQ or they're home. So, give it a try, take a look for the use cases that may fit in your company, and begin a POC with the Symantec Rep.
