AppDynamics is a robust and efficient APM
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Splunk AppDynamics from other similar products?
Excellent knowledge of APM, very useful analytics data captured from mobile devices and browsers, and good details on end-user monitoring for both.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
I really like AppDynamics. It provides information about the application itself, information about the database side, server monitoring, and most importantly, end-user monitoring. Collect analytical data which is very beneficial.
What do you dislike most about this product?
There are some problems, Anamoly detection still lacks quality, support is average, idea acceptance is painfully slow, and Smart Agent can only be installed on certain file systems.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
The product is top-notch as an APM solution, however, services and support need to be improved. The only area the team could improve is how they handle new ideas and changes.
Pros
- Continually Improving Product
- Reliable
- Effective Service
- Saves Time

Amazing platform, best for application monitoring.

What differentiates Splunk AppDynamics from other similar products?
AppDynamics is a great tool for monitoring infrastructure, such as servers, databases, API endpoints, and business operations. AppDynamics is easy to configure; all I have to do is set up an app on the infrastructure I want to monitor, and it will connect to the application, such as Spring Boot, by simply specifying the level. I can define alerts and exceptions, as well as actions that should be taken when triggers are activated, such as sending emails or running scripts. All these make this product differ from other alternatives.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
AppDynamics flow maps are wonderful; the best part is that everything is displayed in a graph and is easy to understand due to the baseline that we set based on the various apps and demands, which can also be changed at any time. To exceed expectations I can also adjust the notifications to receive them from numerous channels, allowing us to anticipate any problems with any program. I can also create alternate panels based on our requirements, which are frequently incredibly useful. Most likely features are described but there are also more good features in it.
What do you dislike most about this product?
It appears that getting started without basic instruction is difficult. The user interface is simple, however, using the functions is not as simple as it appears.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
The app dynamics board is useful to me since it provides statistics from the application鈥檚 performance matrix, which helps me determine whether there is a technical issue. Appdynamics helps us prioritize the solution to the problem. Because it is efficient, I particularly like the Appdynamics user interface. The granularity of telemetry data and signs that may represent a developer鈥檚 mentality is a major advantage.
Pros
- Helps Innovate
- Reliable
- Enables Productivity

A Performance Monitoring And Troubleshooting Tool
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Splunk AppDynamics from other similar products?
Any application environment can benefit greatly from using Appdynamics as a 360-degree tool. I enjoy the server, application, and even the application's network traffic monitoring. My favorite feature of the application is its ability to dive down and identify the underlying reason for a problem.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
It provides the option to go into detail in the event of an error. You can go to the problematic line of code. In the event of poor performance, you are also able to understand what was occurring at the time. The alert area, which I would also include, enables you to set off an alarm as necessary.
What do you dislike most about this product?
The Lite edition only records data for the previous two hours, which is a drawback in my opinion.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
I was able to continue keeping tabs on an intricate ecosystem's performance. I now have a comprehensive understanding of the entire architecture, including the flow of communication between the many services that make up the solution, thanks to the product. I am able to continue keeping an eye on the system's functioning thanks to the alert notice.
Pros
- Continually Improving Product
- Reliable
- Enables Productivity
- Trustworthy
