What differentiates Splunk AppDynamics from other similar products?
App dynamics is an excellent third party application used to provide monitoring of applications real time. When the data is loaded into app dynamics via various mechanisms, it is configured to produce alerts which facilitates team members to further set boundaries or so called threshold on components that are relatively critical from monitoring standpoint. The alerts can be email or an xMatters alert. Alerts are quite details and helps to find the errors fairly easy and adds more confidence as it continuously monitors the stability of the applications. Further there is a good amount of knowledge base on the community sites to best utilize app
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Given we've been using it to control the services in our department that are hosted on cloud, it is really reliable and add to the confidence of having a solution to notify should there be any catastrophic or service causing event
What do you dislike most about this product?
While the applications suits my purpose of using it, the user interface is relatively more complex to understand and further adds to delay in doing the overall configurations.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Overall, this is a very much recommended applications for the teams who would like to monitor the applications and alert should there by any causes of un-stability and helps gathering node specific information, is cost friendly gives various metrics to represent the data and overall quite effective tool.

What differentiates Splunk AppDynamics from other similar products?
Code level visibility. Dynamic baselining. Powerful alerting. Visibility and control. Quick installation and there are many more.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Browser and mobile real user monitoring is awesome
What do you dislike most about this product?
In terms of dashboard I believe there is plenty of room for improvement as it's lacking many advance like searching data within the dashboard is not possible. Synthetic monitoring part is still complex and needs to be addressed as hosting agents for synthetic monitoring is still [a] challenging task. The on premise controller setup requires huge resources and since it's the important component of AppDynamics ignoring it will cause loss of metrics and slowness while capturing metrics.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Sometimes, we are not able to install machine agent as that consumed memory and have some overhead. So consider this this thing.
