What differentiates SAP Product Lifecycle Management from other similar products?
I haven't used anything else; however, we did do research prior to purchasing the SAP system for our furniture manufacturing company and we SAP offered a simple installation process, an intuitive user interface and comprehensive reporting capability that stood above that offered by similar products.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The ability to customize based on our product and existing manufacturing procedures. We find SAP increases our productivity and gives our employees more time to focus on outputting quality product.
What do you dislike most about this product?
I can't say there is anything I truly dislike about the software. I never had a problem with it that couldn't be resolved quickly by either our account rep or support staff.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Do your research and compare your options against your current processes. Leave plenty of time for implementation and take advantage of the product rep to help customize the software to your specific processes and products.
