What differentiates Red Hat Openshift from other similar products?
Openshift service mesh tools provides knative eventing and serving capabilities, which makes the process of deploying serverless workloads a lot seamless . This leads to effective distributed tracing , load balancing , intelligent routing in traffic management , and mTLS encryption.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Provisions like source to image ( S2I ) and CI/CD ( continuous integration and continuous deployment ) contributes hugely towards unifying software development and deployment processes, leading to timesaving development and deployment of software applications by automating most aspects of my teams development , testing and deployment workflow .
What do you dislike most about this product?
Debugging on Openshift is usually challenging , as a result of its architectural design , being in different layers. Therefore, Everytime we have encountered issues with Openshift we always have to consider its infrastructural layout (storage , nodes ) , Kubernetes, or the Red Hat application itself. As a result , root cause debugging is often times cumbersome.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Deploying teams should consider horizontal pod auto scaling for effective resource optimization.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Start with a Managed Option (ROSA or ARO), Invest in Training Early, Designate Platform Owners or SREs, Leverage GitOps and Automation from Day One, Use Operators, But Start Small, Plan for Security Upfront, Pilot with a Non-Critical App First
