What differentiates Google Vault from other similar products?
Our entire organization uses Google Vault to safely store our data and information in the cloud. It is also crucial for data archiving and data retention. Together with Google tools like Drive and Gmail, we use them extensively. Additionally, it enables us to keep tabs on each user's particular activity.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
I've utilized Google Vault a lot as a Google administrator. Learning how to use Google Vault and making sure we can quickly access it if ever needed is crucial for the health of our business if we ever need to quickly find strings of emails based on a set of criteria, such as searching for all emails sent to a specific person from a specific email address, etc. or in case of any mediation or litigation issues.
What do you dislike most about this product?
A full PDF copy of the discussions and attachments would be useful in addition to the other types of data that the Vault.zip files download. The papers must then be compressed using a paid third-party service such as a Chrome Extension so that they can be read easily. Just this one change would be fantastic.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
If you're unfamiliar with Google Workplace and this is your first time utilizing Google Vault, I strongly advise entering into your admin account and calling a Google Workspace support specialist who can walk you through the full procedure and even set up a virtual Hangout to assist you on your end.
