What is your favorite aspect of this product?
GitLab facilitated us a fast and reliable implementation when developing any kind of software making its automation reliable and long lasting while maintaining a compatibility with any kind of software we want to implement and synchronize as it is key for all our technical team of developers supporting each other the agile development principles of any tool that GitLab allows us to manage.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Sometimes the process of combining requests is very simple to set up which is not bad, but it can promote confusion compared to other current processes that are handled with GitLab. We need a single server that can be integrated and that allows us to develop any software in a fast, agile and reliable way.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
In our organization, we use GitLab for code management. All project code is stored in GitLab, which makes it easy for developers to synchronize their code. We can manage all versions in different branches. In addition, we have the ability to roll back if necessary. In addition, it helps with code reviews and performance evaluations for developers. Best suited for startups that need a free plan to maintain repository code. Organizations that maintain their code locally can purchase a GitLab license. What differentiates GitLab Ultimate from other similar products?
This is a complete tool that is helping us with all the planning, programming and control management of all the software that we create in the department. Its clean and easy to use interface allows us to have at hand and visualize every detail, from the quality of the software, the different versions, to the workflows.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
This software contains very useful tools such as security management, which allows us to safely protect all the software we create, as well as vulnerability analysis, which informs us of any anomaly or error that may occur, the best thing is that they are real-time reports, so that the system itself notifies us and we can quickly solve the problem.
What do you dislike most about this product?
We have had some problems with the system, minor problems at the beginning of its use, how to configure it and start it up completely and the service and attention of its technical service was not what we expected, since it did not give us the solution in the expected time. Compared to other software, this can be expensive, but knowing all its functions and tools, the cost is valid and worth it.

Gitlab is backed by github and hence there is a great backend team which can make version control easier

The user interface of this product stands out by a great extent. other than that there are many version control features for enterprise which are extraordinary

This product is a bit costly. The profile section should have tabs for other features.

If you are willing to go for a software where you can invest good amount from budget but want the best in class version control then you can definitely go for this!
