What differentiates GitHub Copilot from other similar products?
Apart from providing code completion, it also has access to the codebase so with this context, Github copilot shares suggestions such that the changes can be implemented easily into the codebase. The code refatoring, commenting and unit testing can be completed with exponential pace as github copilot is good with these.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The best feature of copilot is that is automatically completes the function even before I start implementing it. But unit testing Is stand out feature, I have to do is right the correct prompt and copilot generates a comprehensive unit test cases now I only have to review it once and its good to go.
What do you dislike most about this product?
The irritating part of copilot is that, when I am typing something manually but generates a code that is not relevant at all, and now I have to slow down to undo this suggestion. This is not always but sometime it happens. Additionaly, I wish copilot had a feature where I can provide link to a documentation and copilot can visit the link and then share the conde suggestions based on the content on the documentation.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
I would strongly recommend to use copilot as it enhaces productivity by many folds. It will definalty speed up your development cycle and cost is worth it. If you are willing to spent more then there better tools that gives better suggestions with media uploads. However github copilot has almost all the features that a code completion AI tool needs to have.
Pros
- Reliable
- Performance Enhancing
- Enables Productivity
- Trustworthy

The ease of integration with IDEs such as IntelliJ, Visual Studio, etc and others, as well as code completion feature has been remarkable for the productivity and timeliness to complete the job.

AI generated code completions. Bug detection and fixes. Co pilot chat integration with the IDE.
What do you dislike most about this product?
The product sometimes gives vague answers to the questions asked which can be improved by the copilot team. Also the application goes time out often due to network or proxy issues.

Great product for easy development and productive deliveries of the tasks.

What differentiates GitHub Copilot from other similar products?
Synchronicity with Github
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
I think its ability to learn the repo structure and have that context captured when giving suggestions are amazing.
What do you dislike most about this product?
There's nothing really as it's priced very fairly. For its use case in software development i think it satisfies.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
There's only one other competitor that I know of in this space which is Codeium. I'd say think through if you already have a proprietary license with Github then you're just better off adding it on and having robust tech support.

- Continually Improving Product
- Performance Enhancing
- Enables Productivity
