What differentiates CaptivateIQ from other similar products?
CaptivateIQ marries spreadsheet functionality with automation. While a few other competing products also implemented spreadsheet interfaces, CaptivateIQ has the most complete vision. Our organization originally had an Xactly Incent instance, which we ultimately abandoned mid-contract in favor of regressing back into Excel for calculations. Xactly Incent was ultimately too complicated to both configure and administer for the compensation admins. While evaluating other software, we found CaptivateIQ' spreadsheet interface intuitive (very Excel like) and its features robust. The out of box data connectors are a breeze to configure.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Easy for a single person to administer the entire application. Successfully and intuitively mirrors excel functionality. A number of out of box and easy to implement data connectors. We specifically use the connector for Saleforce CRM. Relatively easy to configure plans and troubleshoot any errors in calculation logic. Wealth of help articles and plan examples made available to customers in the product knowledge base. Pace, quality, and consistency in which the application receives updates. It seems like every update includes at least one quality of life enhancement. Visibility and ease of navigation for payees.
What do you dislike most about this product?
91制片厂ing custom reports and dashboards is relatively convoluted compared to the rest of the application. On the other hand, we are ultimately able to get everything we need from the out of box reports.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
If you are looking to purchase commission automation software, CaptivateIQ deserves to be on your short list. Other software may offer more modules (territory planning, sales forecasting, etc.) but at the expense of the software being a nightmare to configure and administer. CaptivateIQ does commissions and it does it well. We were able to configure our instance without any professional service help, and continue to successfully administer the tool for about 200 payees with a single admin. If you are able to understand and operate in Excel, then you shouldn't have a problem understanding CaptivateIQ.

What differentiates CaptivateIQ from other similar products?
As I haven't used other products I can't say what CIQ does better than them. What I can speak to is that each feature that it provides is well thought out and you can tell they listened to what customer needs are rather than creating software that is what they think companies should do. Each product allows for efficiency gains and confidence as it is accurate.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
My favorite features are the approval process and inquiry management. The two combined allow for confidence that commissions have been executed correctly.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Not being able to customize the colors to make it align with our company colors
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Allow yourself some time to learn how to use the product but if you are familiar with Excel you have nothing really to worry about.
