What differentiates AWS Shield from other similar products?
A network Firewall is unquestionably one of AWS's best solutions. However, it still needs to be the best. VPCs in AWS has a network structure that is more complex than it has to be. On the plus side, nevertheless, it has an adaptable design. Recently, managed rules were made available. It will be simpler to utilize the more enhanced and fulfilled there are.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The system was simple to create and use, and AWS Firewall Manager simplified administration. The Managed Services option has fewer resource restrictions and administrative burdens. The inherent integration of the public cloud makes installation and use simpler. Integrated IPS Avoiding physical infrastructure reliance and maintenance expenses. A significant aspect is the system's capacity to scale up or down in response to the needs of a specific resource.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Only if we are engaged in the developer support plan is support for the product available, as the device needs professional assistance during the initial configuration. Configuring or syncing between platforms is complex. Regular admins must manually assemble the rules for various categories through the command line.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Used for a project with a large user base and scalability using AWS. To swiftly update the network, we may utilize the software to monitor general network activity and track security flaws. The supplier is open and interested in working with our business. Getting to meet the employees in person has been fun for us.
Pros
- Helps Innovate
- Continually Improving Product
- Reliable
- Performance Enhancing

What differentiates AWS Shield from other similar products?
AWS shield is a managed service offered by Amazon Web Services (AWS) for defending against Distributed Denial of Service attacks on your specific service or application hosted on AWS. The continuous requests from the hacker in this assault render your application unable to service users in the real world hence security from such an attack is essential.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The Shield is quite simple to set up, which I appreciate. Furthermore, other than setting it up, a person needs absolutely no expertise of it. The Security Team only needs to designate a system administrator to work on the subsequent issue instead of describing the types of attacks that occur and how to defend against them.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Having few alternatives for security against SQL injections and restricted capacities for defense against DoS is something I would say I do not like. I want to be able to plan a certain defense and have it go off at a specific time. Billing quickly becomes confusing due to certain of its features interfering with other services.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
I advise utilizing AWS Shield to protect your AWS-hosted applications. DDos is one of the most significant hazards that this generation of applications may encounter if necessary safeguards are not taken, as you may already know if you look for it online. Therefore, it is worthwhile to integrate AWS shield into your AWS application since it offers DDos security for your AWS applications at a significantly reduced cost.
Pros
- Continually Improving Product
- Performance Enhancing
- Enables Productivity
- Trustworthy

What differentiates AWS Shield from other similar products?
Web applications operating on AWS are protected by the managed distributed denial of service (DDoS) protection service known as AWS Shield. The always-on detection and automatic inline mitigations offered by AWS Shield reduce latency and application downtime. In our organization, it is quite effective.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The Shield is quite simple to set up, which I appreciate. Furthermore, other than setting this up, an individual want absolutely no expertise of it. The Security Team only needs to designate a network administrator to work on the subsequent issue instead of describing the types of attacks that occur and how to defend against them.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Amazon Web Services Shield is moving in the correct direction, in my opinion. I would like that some things be carried out somewhat differently. Although the marketplace is a fantastic option, why don't you also employ some common choices that people frequently use at your service? In addition, billing might be very confusing.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
I use AWS Shield to protect my operations and those of my clients from outside security threats, primarily DDoS. Because I believe it is a necessary service to incorporate in your application for security reasons, I have utilized AWS Shield in almost all of my applications that I have built on AWS. If your app is accidentally attacked by DDoS, it becomes a very urgent effort to recover it.
Pros
- Continually Improving Product
- Reliable
- Enables Productivity
- Unique Features
