What differentiates Appium from other similar products?

Appium has the best features that can be used for mobile automation and since it is an open source tool it makes even more convenient and cost effective to use. Best part is, it has no dependency on the OS of the mobile, it can be any, android or iOS. It is designed to be programmable and can be used any language like java, python, ruby etc. It can be integrated with many other software out of which one is Eclipse IDE. With all such features and benefits, Appium stands at the top in the current market compared to other similar products.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Appium is an open source tool due to which it allows user to save lot for the automation compared to manual. It has very good web-driver compatibility, selenium web driver is the best integration as a web driver to connect the appium with. it also supports different framework for testing and almost works on mobile platforms. Really helps the developers as well as automation testers to configure and even can learn the features at the same time. Connectivity between the servers and Xcode's tool during execution is really appreciative.

What do you dislike most about this product?

It is very hard during element browsing, seems not reliable as it creates many errors and its very hard to resolve. Even sometime runs slow compared to other software which is only thing I am discomfort with, otherwise it is the best software for mobile automation testing.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I would definitely suggest Appium for mobile automation testing, firstly, it is open source tool and secondly, it has the best features and benefits which user can avail and finally it is very effective in use with great technical support team.

The big difference between Appium and other mobile test automation softwares is, it is 1. open source 2. Strong user base 3. Features 4. Allows multiple languages

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Regression testing of mobile test scenarios Integration with Jenkins It's also similar to Selenium

What do you dislike most about this product?

Nothing dislike about the software It requires strong programming skills It takes time to develop a framework

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I strongly recommend for any Mobile Automation project regression testing purpose. Best part is it supports IOs and Android OS devices

Appium has a built-in UI Automator, capable of producing a detailed information log and generates a detailed reporting structure such as Ranorex.

What do you dislike most about this product?

doesn't support android lower than 4.2.
