What differentiates Amazon Kinesis from other similar products?
As Kinesis is AWS service it is very easy and quick to setup, can be ready in minutes
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Integration with other AWS services. Without much effort data can reach DB in cloud
What do you dislike most about this product?
Data retention of just 7 days

Consider if you are on cloud, you can focus on development where as AWS will take care of the rest

The efficiency and data loading and streaming using shards is the favorite aspect.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Sometimes shards with less capacity give errors even if the rate of data is less.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
For a quality streaming of data with high efficiency across your applications you can go with kinesis

What differentiates Amazon Kinesis from other similar products?
Amazon kinesis works on producing on real time data generation from video streamings, live footages and multiplayer games. The data is generated every millisecond in shards. As it is developed by amazon it makes it unique from other products
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
I have been using amazon kinesis to generate real time data from EC2 instance that stores the generated data into s3 bucket database. Which is later on accessed by amazon cloudwatch to display on its dashboard
What do you dislike most about this product?
Kinesis generated lots of data in shards. It acquires large amount of storage as it generates data in every millisecond. Apart from this i find every feature of amazon kinesis wonderful
