What differentiates Tableau from other similar products?
It is a platform that stands out for its excellent data visualization capabilities. It has diverse features and great strengths. The ability to create complex visualizations with great ease undoubtedly highlights its great attributes. Our team has significantly reduced the amount of work required to process data, perform analysis, and develop strategies. Everything is now much more automated, which saves time, saves manual work, and improves the retroactive process, making things much simpler. The implementation is impressive; data processing is simple, and it has allowed us to create a lightweight, secure, and advanced environment.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Tableau has the impressive ability to transform complex data into easy-to-understand visualizations with a powerful presentation. It has offered us impressive flexibility, allowing us to create customized dashboards that provide a complete dynamic presentation and visualization of our data, facilitating its understanding and analysis to conduct well-founded analyses based on solid strategies. It doesn't require specialist or advanced programming skills, as it is a fairly intuitive platform. The predictive analysis and trending features have been very useful and have given us amazing possibilities.
What do you dislike most about this product?
It provides an integrated, secure, and intuitive platform; however, there are some features that need improvement. For example, although it is an intuitive tool, it has some platform-specific tools that can be complex to use. It requires advanced knowledge of the platform, tool location, and functions to truly benefit from it. If the data is not optimized properly or developed as required, it can indirectly affect performance. We have faced constant updates that change the functionality of certain tools without apparent notice, which can affect our established workflow.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Keeping the team constantly updated on platform changes, tracking features, creating an active team that is always responsive to changes, and progressively improving them will allow us to efficiently maintain the platform's requirements to deliver the results you are looking for. Proper management of the tools will undoubtedly ensure a better workflow, create strategies based on real data, and significantly facilitate the use of everything Tableau has to offer.
Pros
