its easy of use also auto discovery for outside calls and requests and application flow map were very different from others i remember also the application performance baseline was great feature with alerting

its unique tool to discover your application/DB or middleware bottlenecks its will discover production performance bottlenecks and anomalies better than any other APM tool

What differentiates Splunk AppDynamics from other similar products?
Since it was one of the earliest APM product in the market, quality, maturity and no of features were reasonably high as compare to the other alternatives when I used the product esp. showing the graph of entire system like backend application severs, database, caching, search systems and where exactly is the bottleneck was awesome
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
transaction tracing and in that drill down option
What do you dislike most about this product?
Not much only thing was UX could have been bit better in some features
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
there are now many players in APM which provides other capabilities like logging, monitoring, SIEM etc so if you don't want have multiple vendors its worth checking these platforms
