What differentiates Software AG webMethods Integration Platform from other similar products?
Their code is very intuitive and Java based what is a plus. You can create JDBC, SAP connector very quick and drag an drop all your components into your code. The Administrator tool also offers all that you need to provide support. You can start using an easy way to communicate different systems and mapping the information from one to the other.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
It's easy to use and to learn about the programming objects. You can also use BPM platform that will offer a very good visibility over your processes. The vendor provides a very good support for any issue, that's quick and useful.
What do you dislike most about this product?
I'm not part of the contract process but the most of the clients dislike the cost of the tool. As I'm not an expect in that area I'm not able to compare webMethods with another tools from a cost perspective. So I can't say that I agree or disagree with that. From IT perspective I believe that webMethods cover the most of the solutions that are required.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
If you are looking for a simple and intuitive tool to integrate systems, webMethods is the best option. Anyway the SAG vendor is available for everyone to understand their requirements and how the tool could offer a solution. From IT perspective I would say that webMethods cover everything that you might need.
