Your team鈥檚 work with intuitive & collaborative.
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Microsoft Planner from other similar products?
Boards Content-rich cards Assignees, due dates, and comments Event scheduling Project planning File management Performance reports Labels Task tracking Office 365 integration
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
It鈥檚 easy to get started with the tool. The user interface is simple and the experience in using the product is intuitive. I didn鈥檛 even have to go through their docs to understand how their product works. You can quickly view all the tasks everyone is working across Boards (or Plans, as Microsoft calls them). This is particularly helpful to see if your teammate is overloaded with work. You can view tasks and set their due dates using the in-built calendar feature. It鈥檚 known as the 鈥淪chedule鈥 view.
What do you dislike most about this product?
As a project management and collaboration tool, it鈥檚 surprising to see that there is no way to mention a teammate in a comment and share files and documents in the conversation. You鈥檒l receive too many emails if your team begins to actively use the software. Lack of detailed reports such as burndown chart, burn up, and cumulative flow diagrams.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Since it is part of the Office 365 suite of products, you鈥檒l end up paying for plenty of tools you鈥檒l not be using.
Pros
- Helps Innovate
- Continually Improving Product
- Reliable
- Performance Enhancing

Software for managing a big construction project.
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Microsoft Planner from other similar products?
Microsoft Project in engineering, especially in construction management, is not only for managing the time and the project itself. It also best for a big construction firm to have a daily basis of their progress. To know the efficiency of individual contractors inside the project if you're the project manager. The software may help you understand each group of workers' behavior based on their project and based on your personal judgment on their work.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Microsoft support itself is a great factor in buying or subscribing to their yearly subscription. Their cloud-based software which you can easily collaborate with other departments or other contractor is a great advantage to the company. Weekly progress based on the software can produce an assumption that will drive you to a conclusion on how skilled is your workers that have been assigned to a particular area.
What do you dislike most about this product?
To be honest, I've nothing at all bad to state about this software. Being in the enterprise, our only concern will be the pace of examining and updating the program with characteristics that improve the general performance.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Check the Microsoft project website to have an overview of the product and check what plan is best fit for your own purpose of use.
Pros
- Helps Innovate
- Continually Improving Product
