About Yaz Palanichamy

Yaz’s background prior to joining 91ÖÆƬ³§ was in strategic IT consulting services, banking, project management, academic research advisement, and various business consulting and software/IT vendor procurement roles. Within Yaz’s current position at 91ÖÆƬ³§, he plays a pivotal role as a Senior 91ÖÆƬ³§ and Advisory Analyst working under the Customer Experience and Application Insights team. Within this research practice, Yaz helps to advise clients on vendor market research analysis engagements via Info-Tech’s custom vendor landscape product and assists with managing Software Selection as a Service (SSaaS) advisory and consulting engagements for Info-Tech’s wide range of clientele who are looking for strategic advisement around the process of selecting (primarily) non-enterprise commercial off the shelf (COTS) software. Yaz has helped save Info-Tech clients around $120,288 in projected measured value dollar impact over the course of a 4-6–month period in strategic software selection and procurement advisory services.

Yaz also assists in the primary publication of research blueprints with a focus on customer experience management, marketing technology (MarTech), various software selection buyers guides, and sustainability and ESG reporting best practices in IT.

In addition, Yaz has collaborated with a plethora of Info-Tech members and clientele worldwide in a variety of different industry sectors, including but not limited to higher education, engineering firms, public sector and governmental bodies, healthcare/pharmaceutical organizations, non-profit organizations, and banking institutions

Moreover, Yaz is also an experienced academic researcher who has published numerous academic peer-reviewed papers across highly reputable academic journals, including the Journal of Cleaner Production, Expert Systems with Applications, and International Journal of Applied Decision Sciences. Yaz holds both a BComm (Honours) in Business Technology Management from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University) and a Master of Science (MSc) in Management from Toronto Metropolitan University's Yeates School of Graduate Studies (YSGS).

Outside of work, Yaz is actively involved in his community and regularly volunteers his time as a mentorship advisor, involved in charitable giving initiatives as part of Info-Tech’s fundraising committee, and at various other external charitable organizations including local Ronald McDonald House Charities chapters.
